| The completed system provided a flexible
solution that enabled the following:

Sales Orders placed on the web are downloaded over a secure connection
with additional encryption provided and integrated with Sales Orders
taken over the phone. |

When orders are processed, purchase orders or electronic data files
are created for each supplier. |

Manufacturing sheets with component lists and quality checks are
created for in house products. |

The interface has a multiple brand facility that allows orders to
be imported from different web sites into the master system, and colour
codes orders based upon their origin. |

Being developed as an Intranet application
means that update are effected quickly and easily, with no client
terminals to be updated.
This strategy has proved to be a very cost effective and practical
solution to the original brief.
