| Blinds2go
are a web based retailer of roller, vertical, venetian and wooden
blinds.
The project brief was to create an administration system using Internet
Explorer that would allow them to undertake the following:

Download web orders from their shopping cart and import
them into the new office administration system. |

Create purchase orders to suppliers. |
| • |
Create manufacturing sheets for in house manufactured blinds |
| • |
Allow orders to be placed over the phone by their sales team. |

It was a requirement that the new system
would be browser based to ensure platform independence, and would
be quickly expandable based upon current demand without the need
for additional software.
The system was built using a combination of Active Server Pages
for the presentation layer, Visual Basic 6 Dlls for the business
logic layer and MySQL as a back end database.
