| Assembly Control System |
| |
| The ACS in its current guise provides
the following features:
|
| • |
Sales/Supplier Contacts
The ACS maintains customer and supplier information
that is shared with Microsoft Word to provide full contact management
facilities. |
| • |
Component Entry/Management
Components and labour items can be added (e.g. screws etc)
which are used to build up assemblies and sub assemblies |
| • |
Assembly Build Up
The ACS allows for assemblies to be built by selecting labour
and component items. It tracks the costs for all items giving the
cost for an assembly, and incorporates calculators to help establish
the retail price for a product based on various scenarios. |
| • |
Sales Ordering
All sales orders are placed via the ACS. Items are selected
from the component and assembly databases, with the facility to add
ad-hoc items. The system caters for Individual item discounts to be
applied which creates a quick and flexible method of creating sales
orders.
The ACS provides full component lists per sales order, checks the
stock required to undertake the order and provides all of the printed
material required by the customer. |
| • |
Purchase Ordering
The ACS manages all purchase ordering, providing a quick
way of selecting items required, and creating the required purchase
orders. Again the system is flexible and allows for manual entry items
to be added. |
| • |
Stock Control
The ACS tracks the stock for
all components entering and leaving the premises, providing stock
reports, component shortages etc. |
